Final Resting Place

I know that a lot of people these days get too attached with their pets. This is not really surprising though because pets have been tried and tested companions throughout the years. They are constant sources of energy and joy. If you have a pet in your house, be assured that you will never have a dull moment with it.

That’s why when they get sick, pet owners get really worried and they do everything to keep their pets healthy and well. But sometimes, unhappy things happen and they leave their pet owners and finally go to rest. As a sign of love and respect for their dogs, these people cremate them and put them to pet cremation urns. In this way, they can put their pets in a final resting place and choose a place where they can safely put its remains.

Simply Therapeutic

I am one of those individuals who love to spend time with different animals. As I grew up I eventually decided to become a veterinarian in order for me to do that. Much of this influence came from my father, who keeps a stable of horses and a farm stacked with various creatures which we grew up with. A proud farmer girl, I have grown quite a penchant for these animals.

Whenever I get to go back home, I would always find the time to ride in my horse which my father still keeps. This is therapeutic for me, being able to ride out and clear my head. My horse would still recognize me even after months or years of not being around the area, and as I would attach the saddle and riding bits onto him he would simply stand still. I wish I can find a way to always be around my horse. That way I can easily ride whenever I feel like taking a break from it all.

Durability is Best

Durability is the most important factor when it comes to buying items. Nobody would want to deal with sub-standard materials which would end up having the person frequently buy replacements. Longevity is always an issue when it comes to the things we purchase. Value for money must be prioritized at all times to make sure that the person gets to enjoy the benefits of having purchased a specific item.

When it comes to our active dogs, it is also important to get them durable and sturdy accessories which they will be using. It is important to consider the quality of the item especially when dogs tend to be a bit hyper at times. When purchasing crates, nothing comes more durable than steel dog crates. For those who would never compromise quality over budget, it always pays to invest on nothing but the most durable around.

Manageable Walks

I hardly get enough time to spend with my dog. Since I am usually out on weekends for work and would be preoccupied running around on weekends for chores, the only time I get to spend with him is on Sundays. I do not have the privilege of walking him around every day, but when I get the chance I would never pass up the opportunity.

This is probably the reason why he gets too excited whenever we head out of the door. I hardly can contain him, as he merrily runs back and forth trying to discover the new surroundings before him. Good thing I have a Gentle Leader walking halter for him. This way I need not get strained from having to run after him to match his pace. It easily retracts and makes our walks much more manageable for me. This way he knows he needs to slow down his pace so I can keep up!

Enjoyable Alternative

There are those who keep their dogs inside kennels. This may keep them safe and secure, but this greatly affects the behavior and personality of our dogs. They are meant to roam free and to have the privilege to move about on a regular basis. Pets are required to also get some ample time to exercise and get their physical activities. Containing them in kennels will simply keep them from doing so.

Instead of working with ugly kennels, pet owners can make use of a pet play pen. This is a great alternative for containing pets without having to make them suffer in cramped spaces. They are wonderful to have inside or outside the home, and they can be easily stowed when not in use. Metal kennels are just an eyesore in the home. Having this alternative around is surely a great treat for you and your dog.

Late Night Runs

I would usually take my dog with me for late night runs, just to feel safer. Given my busy schedule, I would usually get out of the office at around 9 or 10 in the evening, at which time the fitness gyms have already closed down and I have no way of getting rid of the stress. At my age, I would also need a way by which I can exercise, and running is the perfect activity I can engage in. I can run anywhere and anytime I want to, the best option for my busy schedule.

During these times, I would usually have my dog right along with me for runs. I make use of nylon harness for dogs so I can keep him right beside me and control him without worries. It can be a problem when he runs off and I would have to find him the whole night. This happened to me once and I ended up going home at 2 in the morning. Keeping him controlled is important during this time. Thank goodness I have my harness to help me do so.

Canine Training

As part of the K-9 unit of the force, it is important for me to have a reliable and dependable partner. My dog Herb has been my canine partner for four years. We spend absolutely everyday together, critical when we need to work on various assignments required at work. He is quite a smart dog, and he never lets me down. It will not take long before he will have to retire, but for the meantime I am enjoying the time I have left with him.

Back then when I first met Herb he was quite a stubborn dog. I would have a hard time letting him follow me, but I had to be patient in order to train him well. I used a SportDog field trainer so I can easily handle him and get us right to the job at the soonest possible time. It took a good while before he finally warmed up to me, and it was a challenge to get to him. When I remember those times then, I would often laugh seeing how far he had become.

Visiting The Stable

Growing up, I had grown quite a fascination for horses. We have a stable at home which keep my father’s horses. My father owns a number of animals which he personally attends to. His passion for them is the same reason why I have grown fond of animals as well. After moving out for college, I rarely have the chance to come visit my parents what with the many things I needed to do.

Christmas time is the only holiday where I get to come home, given that I live thousands of miles away from my family to study. When I get back though, I would immediately go right up to the stables and look for my horse. I would be helping my father in feeding and bathing them given my free time. I would also be fixing up and organizing the horse halters, leads and other equipment in the stable. In time, I will be coming back home. For the meantime I would need to focus well on my studies to finish right away.

Pet Work Out

Humans would need to get some exercise done as a way of keeping themselves fit. Physical activity is a requirement in order to keep the muscles moving and to maintain strength. This allows a person to do more in life and be able to do things without much effort and strain. Aside from a healthy diet, people would still need to get some exercise done not only to shed those unwanted pounds but also to feel good about themselves.

For our dogs, it is also a requirement to get them some exercise. The value of exercise provides the same benefits to our pets as they are to us humans. Looking for the perfect workout for your pets is a must. One can opt for dog obstacle course which is designed to help pets improve their agility and strength. This improves the health and body functioning of pets. It also helps sharpen one’s mind. Like humans, pets would need to move about all the time too.

Cold Christmas

My friends and I are planning our own Christmas party on the eve. Since we are all single gals in the city, it is but fitting to come together as a group and have people around us to celebrate it with. We have been doing this for many years now. But since this is the first time ever that we have no partners around, then it was a perfect time to come together as a group and be complete at that.

For the party, we will be bringing our pets in order for us to be assured that even our dogs are not lonely during this momentous time of the year. I have planned on getting a sherpa dog coat for my pet to wear during the party. I saw this online and it was such a beauty to behold. The only thing I have left to do is to find my own outfit. Hopefully this cold Christmas will be all fun even in the absence of men.
