Rumba is a lovable black baby Labrador. He came to us a young two month old and straight away grew into a graceful hunk. His size belies his age. Even so, he remains a playful, enthusiastic puppy to us. He plays in the rain, romps about the garden. Best of all, he loves dog food.

Dog food can be bought from pet stores. I have actually been doing this because it is convenient to just pour some into Rumba’s bowl. Recently, there had been a lot of discussion about home cooked food and organic food for our pets. This is all well and good. In my opinion, it is difficult for a dog to shift from one dog food to another. If it has to be done, it should be done gradually so that the dog can get used to the new taste.
