Having a dog is fun to have around. Your relationship with your dog will depend on how you shape his character, temperament and behavioral habits. Dog training is important from puppy hood and it encompasses so many aspects of his life. It starts with potty training and progresses to crate training, socialization and basic obedience training. The process of training can be a pain but a properly trained dog is a happy and well adjusted dog.

Training should start from birth. Positive reinforcement is the operative word in dog training especially with young puppies. You need to use lots of encouragement, praise and rewards. The objective is to develop desirable habits while preventing undesirable behavior. Start with very easy commands and continue to build on these, again, through positive reinforcement.
