There have been several movies that gave focal or special attention to dogs. The fashionable Bruiser, the Chihuahua pet of the lead character in the movie Elle Woods (Witherspoon) may have started the trend of caring small dogs. It ricocheted in Hollywood and in households. In fact online and offline retailers selling dog toys, fashionable dog shirts, dog carriers etc. became instant success.
