dog toys
There have been several movies that gave focal or special attention to dogs. These include, Tom Hanks’ “Turner and Hooch” with Hooch, a French Mastiff; “You’ve Got Mail” with Brinkley, a Golden retriever; “Beethoven” a St. Bernard pup and lastly “Lassie” the dog that reached iconic status. However a most recent film that featured a dog, and may have established the trend of owning toy dogs, is the movie “Legally Blonde”.
The commercial success of “Legally Blonde” made Reese Witherspoon what she is today, a box office star. The fashionable Bruiser, the Chihuahua pet of the lead character in the movie Elle Woods (Witherspoon) may have started the trend of caring small dogs. It ricocheted in Hollywood and in households. In fact online and offline retailers selling dog toys, fashionable dog shirts, dog carriers etc. became instant success.
