Dog skin conditions

Even when we take good care of our dogs, they are still prone in acquiring various dog diseases. Some of the more common dog diseases involve the skin. Dog skin conditions can be caused by bacteria, fungus, allergy or parasites. All of these skin conditions involve itchiness. We cannot imagine the discomfort that dogs feel when they suffer from skin disorders.

Bacterial infection manifests yellow pustules that can be observed early on. When not treated, these develop into redness and later ulcers. Fungal infection is similar to the human ringworm. It affects the hair and develops hair loss. Allergy may be caused by food or contact with harmful chemicals. The most common dog skin disease is the presence of parasites. They are itchy, multiply fast and are difficult to eradicate.
