When I was told that I needed to be assigned to Europe for quite some time, I did not know as to whether I would be happy or sad. I have always wanted to visit the continent, and dreamt of saving enough money in order to see the beautiful spots from various countries. I was sad though because that meant I had to leave my pet dogs behind.

I would not be able to bring all of them along so I decided to ask my sister if she was willing to take them in. I would pay her for the monthly expenses just so they are taken care of properly. Since she also loves dogs and knew how difficult it is if I have to let them go, she said yes to the proposal. I brought them over in portable dog crates and bid my goodbyes. I am set for France tomorrow, but I seem to still have home in mind.
