People who love traveling with their pets often use a pet carrier. These are small, portable cages used to transport small animals like cats, lap dogs, etc. Pet owners prefer soft pet carriers to ensure their pets’ comfort while going from one place to another. There are typically two main types of pet carriers – the front openers and the top openers.

Front openers are tough, plastic boxes with a metal door. Top openers look more like cages but with a hinged door on top. Specialized pet carriers are used depending on its purpose. Airline pet carriers can be used when traveling by plane for about 6 hours and have waterproof bottoms. Backpack pet carriers are suited for transporting smaller pets to a nearby destination, usually by walking. Pet car carriers can be used when traveling by car, and can also serve as pet beds when used inside the house.
